He is a  Zootechnician Veterinarian from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and has a PhD from The Royal Veterinary College in London, England.
For more than 35 years has been Professor in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UNAM, where he teaches the courses Reproduction and Artificial Insemination, Endocrinology and Animal Reproduction, Comparative Reproduction and Pathophysiology of Bovine Reproduction.
His main line of research it has been the reproduction of cattle in tropical conditions. He has over 137 publications in national and international journals and he has been invited to write 25 researches for specialized publications.
His researcher projects have been mentioning more than 600 times and he is recognized around the world as one of the leading experts in the reproduction of cattle in the tropics. The leadership and international recognition of Dr. Galina is undeniable; he has lectured in more than 30 countries in America, Europe, Oceania and Africa.
